The zooplus team currently consists of 775 interdisciplinary specialists and managers from more than 50 countries who work at 13 international sites in the Sales & Marketing, IT, Operations and Administration departments. As a Junior Category Manager your tasks will include:

  • Supporting the (Senior) Category Manager(s) in product range planning and implementation including listing and delisting
  • Planning, development and execution of marketing promotions
  • Monitoring and analysis of supplier and category performance
  • Negotiation and contract management
  • Sales forecasting on account level
  • Conducting market, competition and range analyses as well as price comparisons
  • Supporting and independent preparation and follow-up of supplier meetings
  • Actively working with internal departments like Purchasing Steering, Marketing, Sales, Supply Chain Management and Accounting

Requirements

  • Graduate degree in business-related discipline
  • 2-3 years work experience in a retail related Company/Department
  • Ability to understand customer needs and market requirements as well as intuitive feeling for brands and trends
  • Experience in negotiation and contract management
  • Experience in SCM (Supply Chain Management) operational topics
  • Ability to communicate internally with different departments and stakeholders
  • Able to deliver and implement quickly, open to iterative learning
  • Intercultural competence
  • Proficient MS-Office (especially Excel and Power Point)
  • Adobe/Google Analytics or other E-comm specific tools are an advantage
  • English at working language level. (German is a plus)
  • Availability to travel
